yeah, I remember that part with the cow! They genetically engineered it to want to be eaten, right? That also made me consider vegitarianism a little bit.

Maybe I'll go back and reread them one day.. I don't really have the time now with school and everything. I actually have a whole pile of books I'm planning on reading once I graduate. then I'll be able to go to fancy dinner parties and pretend to be literate and quote Sartre and shit. :P

Hmm... maybe that was it. I think it was seven minutes until the end of the universe and this religious group was present at the restaurant whose prophet still hasn't come (and he was definately supposed to, because world was coming to an end and they were running out of time). So he did appear, and then the universe ended in the middle of his speech. It's really better when you read it -- I'm not so good at telling it. Also the part where the cow was offering to cook parts of itself made me go vegetarian for about a week. I have all five books if you ever want to give them another shot; and I recently got the Salmon of Doubt, but I still have to read it. :)

I read the first three. I started the fourth, but I didn't like it as much so I dropped it.
The Restaurant At The End Of The Universe was my favorite as well. I read it a while ago, so I can't remember which prophet you're talking about. I remember the guy who was preaching about the nose cult and 'the coming of the great white hankerchief' :D
~iReNaTa:iconiReNaTa: Jan 30, 2008, 6:02:43 PM
did you read all five? I liked the second (Restaurant at the End of the Universe) the best of them all; the restaurant bit with the prophet was great. :D

42... I like that!
Did you know that it was the answer to life, the universe, and everything?

Yeah, I guess it has imprinted itself on my brain :) ... I still hang out with Gera, and we still joke about it from time to time. :)

Waterloo isn't bad. When I got out of high school, I was also on the "no-idea-what-to-do-with-my-life" boat, and I chose Waterloo because of my Mom's career assesment. (I think she did one for you too, a long time ago..)

This is probably going to sound strange, but I always saw you being a translator. I know it doesn't seem very logical, since you don't know a dozen languages or anything, but for some reason, I always saw translation coming from you.

Didn't see that one coming, huh? ;)
`hesitation:iconhesitation: Mar 11, 2005, 1:30:57 PM
 that was really tatooed in your brain since then eh? :giggle:

I'm in my third year though, and Waterloo is awesome! good job eh :) Enjoying it? my bestest friends are there :)

I AM in Schulich... I kinda didn't know what else to do with my life (i'm almost done with school, and i still don't know what to do with my life heh) It's interesting though that you wouldn't expect me to be the business-y type. What would you expect me to study/do? just curious

Ya vkustah sevodnye rana, syel rogatova barana.. :evillaugh:

seriously though, I graduated from high school went to Waterloo, and now I'm in my second year. (I guess you are as well)

I heard you went to Shulich. (probably misspelled)
I was surprised, you never seemed like the business-y type. :)
